There are two AllMyHR memberships, and the difference between them is smaller than most people expect. Two things. You can work out which one you are in about a minute, and you do not need a sales call to do it.
Start with what is the same, because that is most of it
Both AllMyHR Business Membership and AllMyHR Professional Membership include unlimited access to credentialed HR advisors by phone, email and chat. Both include ARIES™, the AI assistant, for the questions that come up at seven in the evening and cannot wait until morning. Both include the compliance portal and alerts, and both include the full resource library: the templates, the guides, the forms and the workflows.
That is the bulk of what a membership is. Whichever one you pick, the part you use on a Tuesday afternoon when something unexpected lands on your desk is identical.
A note before we go further, because it matters more than the price: the advisors are credentialed HR professionals, not attorneys. And AllMyHR is HR. We do not run your payroll.
What Business adds
AllMyHR Business Membership adds exactly two things.
The first is the training library, 300+ courses covering compliance and professional development, with one-click assignment, tracking and certificates on completion. The second is the Smart Employee Handbook, which you build by answering questions about your business, your states, your headcount and your industry, and which maintains its compliance sections against the requirements the platform monitors.
Business is priced by the number of employees. It starts at $99 a month for a business with 1 to 25 employees, and steps up from there by headcount, with anything over 500 employees quoted individually. There is no setup fee and no per-employee surcharge inside a tier.
What Professional is
AllMyHR Professional Membership is $24.95 a month, one flat price at any company size. It is everything described in the first section: the advisors, ARIES™, the compliance portal and alerts, and the compliance library across all 50 states and federal.
It is built for the HR professional who works alone and needs backup rather than infrastructure. If you are the person who handles HR, and what you need is a credentialed second opinion and a place to check what a requirement actually says, Professional is the right membership. Not a smaller version of the right membership. The right one.
The question that decides it
Here it is, and it is one question in two parts.
Do you have managers and staff who need training assigned and tracked, and a handbook that needs to stay current?
If yes, you want Business. Those are the two things it adds, and they are the two things that get expensive to do by hand once you have people reporting to other people. Chasing training records through email and maintaining a handbook across multiple states is work, and it is the sort of work that quietly stops happening.
If your HR work is advisory, and training and your handbook are already covered somewhere else or genuinely are not part of your job, then you are paying for two things you will not open. Professional is the better fit and it costs less because it is a narrower product, not because it is a lesser one.
If you are somewhere in the middle, the useful version of the question is: in the last six months, how many times would you have assigned a course or edited the handbook? If the answer is zero, you have your answer.
You do not have to guess
The free trial runs at Business level for the full 30 days. No credit card at signup. So you get the training library and the handbook in front of you for a month, and by the end of it you will know from use rather than from a comparison table whether those two things belong in your workflow.
If they do, stay on Business. If they do not, Professional is right there at $24.95 and nothing you did is wasted.
The full feature-by-feature breakdown and the employee-count pricing are on the AllMyHR pricing page. If you are earlier than this and still deciding whether an HR membership is the right shape of help at all, the longer read is here: HR help for a small business: what to ask before you pick one.
